LSA Semifinal Field Set
DALLAS – The semifinals have been set in both divisions of the Lone Star Alliance and will take place this Saturday, April 23, at Saint Mary’s Hall in San Antonio, Texas. The championship games will follow on Sunday at the same location.
In LSA Division I, the seeds held in three of the four quarterfinals. LSU, the third seed in the South division, pulled the upset over TCU – the second seed in the North – 11-10. LSU earns a date with defending LSA champion Texas State in one half of the bracket. On the other half, Texas A&M will face No. 21 Southern Methodist.
After three forfeits, there was only one quarterfinal game in Division II, with UT-Dallas easing past crosstown rival Dallas Baptist, 15-1. The Comets will now square up with UT-San Antonio in one semifinal while Oklahoma State and La.-Lafayette tangle in the other.
The winner of the LSA Division I tournament will receive an automatic bid to the 2016 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour. The winner of the Division II title will be in the hunt for an at-large bid.
Admission is $5 for adults per day and tickets can be purchased at the gate. Children 13 and under are free. Youngsters are encouraged to wear their youth lacrosse jerseys. There will be food trucks and lacrosse vendors on-site. The semifinals and finals of the LSA tournament will be streamed live via StickStar Lacrosse.
