Schedule Set for Rocky Mountain Rumble
CENTENNIAL, Colo. – The Dove Valley Broncos Headquarters will be the site of the first annual Rocky Mountain Rumble – a four-day event featuring six Division II programs that participated at the 2023 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance.
The Rocky Mountain Rumble will take place from Feb. 16-19 – President’s Day weekend – at the facility located just south of Denver. Four of the MCLA’s nine conferences will be represented in this all-star competition.
Montana State coach Chris Kelley, who organized the event, grew up playing near the facility
“We love the opportunity to play in Denver, as a number of recruits and alumni in the area help it feel like home just 16 hours down the road," he said. "Denver is a great ‘neutral site,’ and we hope to make this an annual event.
“Matching tournament-caliber teams that are willing and able to travel against each other early in the season to see where everyone stacks up is always a winning formula."
The Rocky Mountain Rumble kicks off on Friday with a late-night affair between national semifinalist Air Force and LSA heavyweight Missouri State (schedule below). It concludes on Monday morning with Montana State clashing with UC San Diego and North Dakota State battling Cal State San Marcos.
Admission to the event is free. Live-streaming details will be released the week of the event.
