UC Davis Leads WCLL-II Preseason Poll
SAN FRANCISCO – Defending conference champion UC Davis has been named the favorite in Division II of the Western Collegiate Lacrosse League (WCLL), according to the preseason coaches poll.
The Aggies (8-5) captured six of the seven first-place votes to finish seven points clear of the field.
Saint Mary’s (5-5), which was seeded second in the conference tournament last spring, snagged the remaining first-place vote to slide into the second spot.
Chico State (6-5) stunned the Gaels in the semifinals of the WCLL tourney, but were relegated to the No. 3 position in the preseason poll.
UC Santa Cruz (3-5) rounds out the top four.
