PNCLL D-I Goes Through Simon Fraser
SEATTLE – After posting an undefeated regular season and winning the conference tournament, Simon Fraser has been installed as the favorite in Division I of the Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League (PNCLL), according to the preseason coaches poll.
The Red Leafs (11-1), which returned to the MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance for the first time in seven seasons after capturing the league crown, were awarded four first-place votes to grab the top spot.
Oregon (8-5) was slotted second in the poll, garnering a first-place vote. The Ducks lost to Simon Fraser in the 2023 PNCLL final, 14-12.
Boise State (8-5) was awarded the final first-place vote, vaulting the Broncos into third in the preseason poll. The Broncos won the ’22 conference title, subduing both the Red Leafs and Ducks.
The PNCLL top four was rounded out by Washington (5-7).
