ATLANTA – The Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA), the preeminent non-varsity league in North America, is pleased to announce that PEARL will continue to be the Official Ball of the MCLA and sponsor the Goalie of the Week award during the 2024 season.

Each week this spring, an MCLA student-athlete in each division will earn the “PEARL Goalie of the Week” award for his outstanding work in the crease for his respective team.

“We’re excited to continue our long-standing partnership with the MCLA for the 2024 season,” said Erin Hanson, founder and owner of PEARL and Guardian Sports. “Goalies put themselves in the line of fire every game and we’re proud to recognize their efforts.”

The winner of the PEARL Goalie of the Week honor will receive a PEARL swag bag of goodies that will include PEARL lacrosse balls – the official ball of the MCLA. The winner will also receive national recognition for his accomplishments.

“PEARL has been a wonderful advocate for the MCLA for a while now, so we’re obviously excited to have them as a partner for the upcoming season,” said MCLA president Ken Lovic. “PEARL lacrosse balls are a great product. Partnering with PEARL again is a perfect fit for the MCLA.”

Nominations for the weekly award, which will run 15 weeks from Jan. 23 through the 2024 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance, will be accepted from head coaches by Monday at noon.

The recipients of the honor, who will be judged on statistics and quality of opponent, will be announced on Tuesdays.
