Missouri’s Radke Named Goalie of Week
ATLANTA – After sparking Missouri to an impressive win on Sunday, Tigers senior netminder Dylan Radke is the MCLA Division I PEARL Goalie of the Week for the period ending March 19.
In a contest against Michigan State in Columbia, Mo., the St. Louis product made 18 saves as the Tigers posted the 11-9 victory. His efforts helped Mizzou improve to 7-2 on the season.
He finished with a save percentage of 66.7.
“Dylan was dialed in long before the opening faceoff,” said Missouri coach Beau Rich. “He made several saves on the doorstep to keep us in the game early and to swing momentum in our direction down the stretch. He was fearless in cage and wasn’t afraid to leave the crease to back up shots, snag ground balls and push transition. He even notched a couple full-field assists.
“He has played a major part in our team's success. He makes the big saves, but also plays a major part directing our defense and making in-game adjustments. The whole team feeds off of him and he lives for the big moments.”
For earning the PEARL’s Goalie of the Week, Radke will receive a prize package from Guardian PEARL, a ball that lasts longer than the rest and never greases. Guardian PEARL is the proud partner of the MCLA.
