ATLANTA – After leading Liberty to an upset of the top-ranked team in the country, Flames junior midfielder Keaton Mohs is the MCLA Division I Warrior Player of the Week for the period ending March 12.

Liberty took on No. 1 Georgia Tech on Saturday in Charlotte and thanks to three goals and three assists from the Lakeville, Minn., product, the Flames took down the Yellow Jackets, 12-9.

Mohs also chipped in with a ground ball.

“Keaton is one of the most dynamic players on the field, and his game against Georgia Tech showcased just that,” said Liberty coach Kyle McQuillan. “His ability to create opportunities for himself and his teammates was demonstrated by his production.

“In big games you need your best players to play well, and Keaton had his best game of the season against the No. 1-ranked team in the MCLA, and proved that he is among the best players in our league.”

For his efforts earning the Warrior Player of the Week, Mohs will receive a Warrior EVO QX-O – a $100 value – for his efforts. Warrior is a proud sponsor of the MCLA.

Chad McFadden, Jr. – Concordia
The Eagles downed South Carolina and UCLA thanks to a combined seven goals and two helpers from the Trabuco Canyon, Calif., attackman.

Chase McNeill, Soph. – Florida
The short-stick defensive middie from Elmhurst, Ill., played locked-down D while also chipping in a pair of goals for the Gators.

Luke Morrisette, Soph. – Chapman
In a 2-1 week against ranked squads, the Portland, Ore., attackman amassed eight goals and six assists for the Panthers.

Aidan Oats, Soph. – Santa Clara
The attackman from Beantown delivered four goals and three assists helping the Broncos topple Southern Methodist.

Will Sackman, Sr. – Florida State
The ‘Noles improved to 9-0 thanks to combined eight goals and four helpers from the attackman from Orlando.

J.D. Shellenberger, Soph. – Tennessee
In victories over James Madison and Central Florida, the middle accumulated five goals and five assists.
