MoState Dominates LSA-II Poll
DALLAS – After rolling to the last three conference championship, Missouri State has been installed as the favorite in Division II of the Lone Star Alliance, according to the preseason coaches poll.
The Bears (11-7), which advanced to the quarterfinals of 2022 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance before running into St. Thomas, swept all 10 of the first-place votes to launch 25 points clear of the field.
"We are super excited to be voted No. 1 preseason and to have it be a unanimous vote of our conference is an incredible honor," said Missouri State coach Donnie Curran. "We have set some big goals for our program for this upcoming season and we are excited to show what we can do on the field."
Tulane (6-6), which lost to Missouri State in the LSA finals last spring, is slotted second in the 13-team field. The Green Wave is 10 points clear of Baylor (5-6), which sits in the third chair.
Texas A&M D-II (4-9) edged out UT-San Antonio (6-5) for the fourth spot
