ATLANTA – After leading Montana to a pair of wins that locked up a top seed in the upcoming conference tournament, Grizzlies sophomore Eric Frazer has earned MCLA Division II Warrior Player of the Week honors for the period ending April 17.
Montana entered the weekend needing a pair of wins to lock up the top seed in the PNCLL North subdivision and the Salem, Ore., product was a big part of making it happen.
Frazer started the weekend with a solid two-goal effort in a comfortable win over Central Washington. It was in the win over Western Washington to clinch the stop seed is where he really shined, potting a career-high seven goals while dishing out a dime in a Grizzlies romp.
For the weekend, he had nine goals and a helper for 10 points.
“Eric's performance this weekend sparked the whole team,” said Montana coach Tucker Sargent. “He was first on the board in both games, and Saturday against WWU he had a career day that inspired and fired everyone up to play their best.
“He's been an offensive leader all season and I expect it to continue into the postseason as he is playing his best lacrosse right now.”
For his efforts earning the Warrior Player of the Week, Frazer will receive a Warrior Burn XP-O – a $100 value – for his efforts. Warrior is a proud sponsor of the MCLA.
