ATLANTA – After leading Santa Clara to a stunning victory against the second-ranked team in the country, Broncos sophomore backstop Louis Harvey has been named the MCLA Division I PEARL Goalie of the Week for the period ending March 6.

With then-No. 2 Cal arriving in town, Santa Clara had its work cut out for it but Harvey was up to the task. The San Jose, Calif., native turned away a staggering 28 Golden Bear shots, allowing the Broncos to walk away with a 10-9 overtime triumph.

“Lou has been a huge asset to the team all year long and a huge reason we are 5-0 on the year,” said Santa Clara coach Greg Hollingshead. “His leadership on and off the field is vital to the team’s success. In the game against Cal, Lou our offense within striking distance to finish.

“We talked before the game about how he was going to need a huge game, and he more than delivered. Lou commands respect out there and the whole team feeds off his energy. I can’t wait to see him continue to thrive.”

For earning the PEARL’s Goalie of the Week, Harvey will receive a prize package from Guardian PEARL, a ball that lasts longer than the rest and never greases. Guardian PEARL is the proud partner of the MCLA.

Jason Bohlinger, Sophomore – Chapman
The Panthers traveled to SLO to face No. 11 Cal Poly and the Yorba Linda, Calif., product was superb, making 15 saves against just six goals allowed (71.4 sv%).

Matt Corazon, Senior - Florida
The Gators swept a pair of ranked opponents thanks to the solid play of the Miami native. Corazon combined for 25 saves and a 56.8 save percentage

Connor Modd, Senior – Michigan State
The Spartans pushed Florida to overtime thanks to Modd’s performance. The goalie from Grand Haven, Mich., finished with 25 saves.

Dylan Radke, Junior – Missouri
The Tigers swept three games in Alabama thanks to the St. Louis native. Radke posted double-digit saves in every contest, amassing 38 stops in total and also scored.

Aidan Shah, Freshman – Arizona State
The Sun Devils shocked No. 2 Clemson thanks to 18 saves from the Portland, Ore., product, including a whopping eight in the critical fourth quarter.
