KSU’s Stanhope Tabbed Player of Week
ATLANTA – He led Kennesaw State to an improbable upset of a Top 20 Division I team and now Owls senior attackman Dylan Stanhope has been named the Warrior MCLA Division II Player of the Week for the period ending March 27.
Kennesaw State headed to Athens to face D-I No. 19 Georgia on their Senior Day and the Acworth, Ga., product lit up the Bulldogs.
Stanhope scored an astounding eight goals to lead the Owls to the 14-11 upset.
“Dylan has been a huge key to our offense this year,” said Kennesaw State coach Connor Murphy. “He has great vision and can find the open man, but this weekend he showed off his skills as an elite finisher. His performance was a big part of our win over Georgia.”
For his efforts earning the Warrior Player of the Week, Stanhope will receive a Warrior Burn XP-O – a $100 value – for his efforts. Warrior is a proud sponsor of the MCLA.

Dan Clifford, Attack – Wake Forest
Thanks to the Durham, N.C., native – who had five goals, an assist and five ground balls – the Demon Deacons downed Elon, 16-7.
Owen Edwards, Attack – Utah
The Utes stunned No. 7 Montana State, 12-10, aided by five goals from the Danville, Calif., kid.
Nick Ferens, Attack – UNC-Charlotte
The Stanley, N.C., sniper combined for 10 goals and eight assists in victories over MSU Denver and UNC-Wilmington.
Kyle Romano, Attack – Florida Atlantic
The Owls roasted Elon and App State this weekend, helped by a combined 10 goals and nine assists from the Boca Raton, Fla., native.
Wesley Sowders, Defense – Georgia Southern
The rookie had six caused turnovers and seven ground balls, helping the Eagles qualify for the SELC tourney for the first time.
Luke Tardich, Attack – Grand Valley State
Playing against his older brother’s alma mater, the Northville, Mich., product torched Western Michigan with a hat trick and four dimes in 15-6 Lakers win.
Jason Thibeault, Attack – CSU San Marcos
In wins over Western Oregon and Western Washington, the Temecula, Calif., product combined for 14 goals and a dime.
