UNCC’s Becker Top D-II Netminder
ATLANTA – By leading UNC-Charlotte to an impressive win over a formidable Division I opponent, senior Noah Becker has earned PEARL Goalie of the Week honors for the period ending Feb. 6
The 49ers entertained West Virginia on Sunday afternoon, and thanks to 12 saves from the Eden Prairie, Minn., product, Charlotte was able to post the 11-9 victory.
“Noah was the difference in the win versus West Virginia,” said UNC-Charlotte coach Nick Nedvesky. “When we needed a big save, Noah answered the call.”
“To have a second half with eight saves and two goals allowed after being down at halftime says all you need to know about Noah’s character and resilience.”
For earning the PEARL’s Goalie of the Week, Becker will receive a prize package from Guardian PEARL, a ball that lasts longer than the rest and never greases. Guardian PEARL is the proud partner of the MCLA.
