BERKELEY, Calif. -- In one of the most anticipated games of the year, No. 3 Chapman visited No. 2 California at Memorial Stadium for a clash of the titans.
Videographer Claude Lyneis was on hand to capture the action and produce a highlight film for MCLA.us, which is below.
Cal managed to pull away at the end for the 16-12 victory, but it was one of the best lacrosse games the stadium has ever held.
The Golden Bears were led by senior attackman Jake Pistotnik, who finished with six goals and an assist, while junior attackman Brendan Cook added four goals. Nick Beattie stopped 16 shots for the victory in the cage.
The Panthers were paced by senior attackman Wiley Bonham, who had six markers on the day. Classmate Garrett Stemmler chipped in with four more goals. Anderson Marks posted 22 saves in the losing effort.
