ATLANTA – After guiding No. 4 Georgia Tech to a 9-4 victory over No. 13 Brigham Young on Saturday evening, Yellow Jackets senior attackman Conrad McEvoy has earned MCLA Division I Dominant Performance of the Week presented by Warrior for the period ending Feb. 2.

With the Yellow Jackets hoping to notch a win its season-opener at home, McEvoy stood tall. The Suwanee, Ga., native scored four goals – matching BYU’s entire output – to send the Ramblin’ Wreck to the win.

"Conrad did a nice job as usual of finding space and reading the defensive rotations to get himself open around the goal,” said Georgia Tech offensive coordinator E.J. Freeman. “His teammates have seen his ability as a finisher and trust him to make the play even in the smallest amount of space.

“He found himself in dangerous spots throughout the game, but especially in big moments. He scored our second goal to give us a lead going into the second quarter. Then he added two goals back to back in the second quarter to help push us out to a 6-1 lead. Conrad is a known quantity for our opponents, but still does a really nice job of being patient and finding the space he needs despite teams trying to take him away."

For his efforts in earning the Dominant Performance of the Week presented by Warrior, McEvoy will receive a new Warrior Burn 2 – a $90 value. Warrior is a proud supporter of the MCLA.

Warrior Honorable Mention

Evan Arnold, Soph. – Oklahoma
The Sooners took down archrival Oklahoma State thanks to the play of the sophomore faceoff man. Arnold won 19-of-20 draws (95.0%) while registering five points (3g, 2a) and snaring 15 ground balls.

Auggie Buerkle, Sr. – Texas A&M
The Aggies went 1-1 against a pair of ranked opponents and Buerkle was able to make an impression in both games. He had a hat trick in a win over No. 25 LSU and four goals in a loss to No. 1 South Carolina.

Keaton Collier, Jr. – Santa Clara
The Broncos opened up the 2020 campaign with a big win over Sonoma State aided by four goals and an assist from attackman.

Brendan Cook, Jr. – California
The powerful attackman opened his junior campaign with a bang, scoring four goals and setting up four others in a romp over Chico.

Derek Isaac, Jr. – South Carolina
The Gamecocks opened their title defense with a pair of comfortable victories, aided by the USC draw man. Isaac went 39-for-45 (86.7%) at the dot while also handing out an assist.

Jackson McKenney, Soph. – Concordia-Irvine
The transfer student stepped up for the Eagles, scoring five goals and a dime in his first game with the program in CUI’s win over conference rival UCLA.
