New Hampshire Leads CLC-I Poll
BOSTON – After returning to the MCLA National Championships sponsored by New Balance for the first time since 2002, New Hampshire has been installed as the favorite in the Continental Lacrosse Conference (CLC) Preseason Division I Coaches Poll.
The Wildcats (12-1), who advanced to the quarterfinals last spring, grabbed seven of the 10 first-place votes to place them comfortably atop the charts.
Michigan State (8-8), which won the national championship in 2018, is seven points back of UNH. The Spartans, who also qualified for nationals in ’19, were awarded one first-place vote.
UConn (7-6), another national tournament qualifier out of the CLC last spring, was slotted third, aided by a first-place vote.
Boston College (8-5) rounds out the top four.
