A&M Leads LSA-I Poll
DALLAS – Texas A&M has been tabbed the favorite in the Lone Star Alliance in 2020, according to the league’s preseason coaches poll.
The Aggies (10-6) received six of the eight first-place votes and were 10 points clear of second place. Texas A&M has made nine visits to the MCLA National Championships sponsored by New Balance with the most recent coming in 2017.
Defending LSA champion LSU (7-8) is in the second spot with one first-place vote. The Tigers made their first-ever appearance at nationals in 2019.
LSU is followed by Southern Methodist (9-4) in third place. The Mustangs also garnered a top vote.
Texas Christian (3-10) rounds out the top four.
The LSA tournament will begin on the weekend of April 10 with the quarterfinals and culminate on April 18-19 with the semifinals and finals in Grapevine, Texas. Six teams will qualify for the playoffs with the top two seeds receiving byes into the semis.
