UMLC D-II Conference Honors Announced
MINNEAPOLIS – Minn.-Duluth seniors Scott McNamara and Nicholas Timmons were named the Upper Midwest Lacrosse Conference (UMLC) Division II Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, respectively, when the league announced its award winners recently.
McNamara, an attackman, posted 38 goals and dished out 22 assists (60 points) in 12 games while Timmons, a defenseman, had 56 ground balls along with a goal and assist while anchoring the Bulldogs back line.
Dayton freshman attackman Eric Weber (12g, 7a) was tabbed the Rookie of the Year while Flyers head man Joe Venturella was chosen as Coach of the Year after guiding Dayton to a 9-3 record.
