ATLANTA - The SouthEastern Lacrosse Conference (SELC) is pleased to announce the SELC Hall of Fame 2019 Class. Seven players and one coach from four different decades were honored and approved by the current members of the Hall.

Listed alphabetically:

CHRIS CECIL
Florida State University 2003-2006; Long stick Midfield; Chris was a dominant LSM during his career, known for being especially disruptive between the restraining lines. He was recognized as All Conference in 2005, 2006, and 2007 including winning the Tom Lewis Award as Conference Specialty Player of the Year in 2006 and 2007. He was honored as a MCLA All American in 2007 and served as team Captain.

SKIP FATKIN
Clemson University & University of Tennessee 1989 – 1994; Attack; Harry “Skip” Fatkin led Clemson to the SELC Championship in 1990 before repeating the feat with the University of Tennessee in 1993 and 1994. He is believed to be the only player to play on 3 conference champions from two different Universities. Skip played prior to the establishment of the MCLA and unfortunately, the advent of the conference ALL SELC or national ALL MCLA All- American teams.

AARON FERGUSON
Auburn University 1997-2001; Attack; Aaron enjoyed a successful 4 year run at Auburn, earning All-Conference honors each year and USLIA All American recognition in 2001. He led Auburn in points all 4 years, played on a SELC championship team in 2001 as well as on Auburn’s 1999 and 2001 USLIA National Tournament teams. After his playing career, Aaron served as coach of the Auburn Women’s lacrosse team for two years.

MATT HART
Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University; defense/LSM; 2010-2012; A defensive stand-out in a program renowned for its defense, Matt garnered ALL SELC honors in 2010, 2011, and 2012, culminating in recognition in 2012 as SELC Defensive Player of the Year and MCLA All American. He also earned MCLA Scholar All American honors in 2011 and 2012.

ANDREW KAPLIN
Emory University 1996-1999; Attack; Andrew averaged over 20 goals a season in 4 years at attack for the Emory Eagles. Recognized on the All Conference teams in 1996 and 1998, he also garnered Tournament MVP honors in 1996, scoring 21 goals in 3 games. In 1999, he repeated as a member of the All Tournament team and achieved USLIA (predecessor to the MCLA) Academic All American.

WILL PATCH
Clemson University 2009-2012; Attack; Will had an immediate impact in the SELC. He earned All Conference Honors each year at Clemson and was twice recognized as recipient of the Corey Noonan Award as SELC Offensive Player of the Year. He was also named MCLA All American twice. He led his team in points for 3 years and currently owns the career scoring record at Clemson.

YANCEY RUSHTON
Auburn University 1995-1999: Coach & SELC President; Yancey led the resurgence of Auburn lacrosse in the SELC. His teams qualified for the SELC championships 4 of 5 years and he led two Auburn teams to the MCLA national championships. Yancey was instrumental in developing the national presence of the SELC both as a coach and as SELC President for two years.

KEVIN SCHONECK
University of Florida 2003-2005; Defense; Kevin transferred from the University of Notre Dame to Florida as a sophomore and had an immediate impact on the SELC. He amassed All Conference and All Tournament team honors all 3 years (2003, 2004, and 2005). In 2005 he was awarded the Sonny Pieper Award as SELC Defensive MVP. His talents were recognized nationally leading to MCLA All American honors in 2004 & 2005.

The Class of 2019 will be inducted into the SELC Hall of Fame on Championship Sunday, April 26 at the SELC Championships in Johns Creek, Ga.
