MSU’S Deal Has Command Performance
ATLANTA – For his efforts in guiding the Spartans to pair of wins at the Clash in Columbus over the weekend, Michigan State junior long-stick midfielder C.J. Deal had the MCLA Division I Commanding Performance of the Week powered by Under Armour for the period ending March 31.
In an overtime victory over Indiana and a triumph over No. 10 Virginia Tech, the Coto de Caza, Calif., product had seven caused turnovers while gobbling up 14 ground balls.
“He's really stepped up to help lead this defense by letting his play do his talking for him,” said Michigan State coach D.J. Lubs. “C.J. is a tough kid and gritty competitor. That came to light during the monsoon we played in versus Virginia Tech.”
For his efforts in earning the Commanding Performance of the Week powered by Under Armour, Deal will receive a new Under Armour Command Head – a $100 value. Under Armour is the proud sponsor of the MCLA.
