ATLANTA – After leading the Mustangs to a key split in the desert against ranked teams, Cal Poly junior attackman Doug Gosselin earned Commanding Performance of the Week powered by Under Armour for the period ending Feb. 24.

Looking for a weekend split on Sunday against No. 11 Grand Canyon, the Salt Lake City product put the Mustangs on his back, scoring six goals and setting up three others as Cal Poly rallied for a 15-10 victory.

In a one-goal loss to No. 14 Arizona State the day before, Gosselin brought his A-game, as well, potting four goals in the 12-11 setback.

For the weekend, he accumulated 10 goals and three assists against a pair of ranked opponents.

“Doug created offense different ways in both games this weekend,” said Cal Poly coach Bobby Dabrieo. “He created his own shooting opportunities, distributed, and was a lights-out finisher all weekend. He's one of the toughest, hardest working guys on the team, he leads by example, and is one of the most coachable guys that we've had in our program.”

For his efforts in earning the Commanding Performance of the Week powered by Under Armour, Gosselin will receive a new Under Armour Command Head – a $100 value. Under Armour is the proud sponsor of the MCLA.

Tyler Bogart, Soph. – Colorado
The UMass transfer scored four goals in the season-opening triumph over No. 16 Oregon and followed that up with a hat trick against Oregon State.

Jesse Clark, Soph. - Florida
Clark notched a hat trick in the Gators' comfortble win over subdivisional rival South Florida.

Blaise Demaree, Sr. – Dominican
The close defender put the clamps on Biola and Texas Christian this weekend, combining for 10 ground balls while scoring his first career goals.

Brian Hanley, Soph. – Stanford
The versatile middie went 14-for-14 on faceoffs against Sonoma State while also scoring two goals and setting up a third in Cardinal victory.

Garrett Hess, Jr. – East Carolina
The Pirates went 0-2 for the week, but Hess put on a show at the dot, winning 34-of-46 (74%) of his draws in losses to No. 6 Liberty and No. 17 Clemson.

Brinen LeFevre, Jr. – Georgia
The faceoff man won nearly 70 percent of his draws in a shootout with Ole Miss while also scooping up three ground balls.

Jake Lombardo, Jr. – California
The Bears rolled over No. 15 Florida State thanks to four goals and four dimes from attackman.

Conrad McEvoy, Jr. – Georgia Tech
The Ramblin’ Wreck swept California thanks to the attackman who had four points (2g, 2a) against Chapman and another nine (6g, 3a) against San Diego State.

Connor Reed, Gr. – Concordia-Irvine
The long-stick middie did it all for the Eagles in wins over USC and TCU, combining for two assists, 17 ground balls and a dozen caused turnovers.

Aidan Ryan, Jr. - Grand Canyon
In a 1-1 week against ranked opponents, the LSM was dominant between the lines, gobbling up 13 ground balls, including nine against Cal Poly.

Reid Smith, Soph. – Florida State
On the Seminoles West Coast swing, the attackman posted a seven-point (4g, 3a) game against No. 20 Santa Clara before tallying four more against No. 2 California.

Tate Thornley, Soph. – Arkansas
In wins over Illinois State (5g, 1a) and North Texas (3g, 2a), Thornley was effective and efficient. He scored his eight goals on just nine shots and combined for an 11-point weekend.
