MCLA Scholar Athletes Announced
ATLANTA – The Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association, the preeminent non-varsity league in the country, has announced the Scholar Athletes for the 2017-18 academic year and 158 athletes have been recognized.
To earn Scholar Athlete status, a student-athlete must be named to a postseason all-conference team while also maintaining at least a 3.2 grade point average.
“I’m always impressed with how our student-athletes can juggle both academics and their lacrosse requirements,” said MCLA president Ken Lovic. “This group represents the players in our organization who do it the best. Congrats to all of them.”
The 157 student-athletes come from both divisions and will receive a certificate honoring this achievement.
