CCSU Captures PCLL-II Trophy
BROOKLINE, Mass. – On a rain-soaked Sunday afternoon, Central Conn. State defeated New Haven, 14-8, to capture the 2018 Pioneer Collegiate Lacrosse League (PCLL) Division II championship.
The title doesn’t come with an automatic qualifier, but since the Blue Devils (12-4) also won the regular season crown, they will be heading to the 2018 MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour, which will take place in Salt Lake City from May 7-12.
After a tight first quarter that had CCSU leading, 4-3, the Devils exploded for a 5-1 second quarter that gave them a 9-4 lead at halftime. New Haven (10-5) would get no closer.
The MCLA Selection Committee will release the participants and matchups this evening. Check MCLA.us for all your championship information.
