After a tight first quarter that saw the visitors post a 2-1 lead, Michigan State recorded a 4-0 second quarter to take a 6-1 lead into halftime that was never threatened as the Spartan defense lived up to its billing.
Nick Bowman (3g, 2a), Bennett Osterink (3g) and Charlie Pistner (3g) led the Michigan State offense while Kevin Boland made 12 saves in the cage.
