ATLANTA – After leading Davenport to an unexpected two-game sweep of the Panthers' road trip to Utah, senior attackman Dylan Riley earned Commanding Performance of the Week powered by Under Armour for the period ending March 4.
Riley started out the week on Thursday with a pair of goals in Davenport’s 10-9 triumph over Utah Valley, but he earned the weekly award with his play against Brigham Young.
The Panthers faced the fourth-ranked Cougars on Saturday night indoors and Riley was virtually unstoppable. The Windsor, Ontario, product scored seven goals against BYU and chipped in with an assist in the 19-16 victory.
“Dylan is a level-headed player who doesn't get too up or too down after a play,” said Davenport coach Chris Esquivel. “All weekend he displayed positive leadership and played with great composure no matter the circumstance. This allowed him to spark our offense and create scoring opportunities for himself and teammates.”
For his efforts in earning the Commanding Performance of the Week powered by Under Armour, Riley will receive a new Under Armour Command Head – a $100 value. Under Armour is the proud sponsor of the MCLA.
