D-I Poll: Bear Market
ATLANTA – They are 20 years removed from their only MCLA championship, but now the California Golden Bears are back on top, at least in this week’s Under Armour MCLA Division I Coaches Poll.
The Bears took 18 of the 23 first place votes this week, although five teams in total owned the No. 1 spot on at least one ballot. Grand Canyon followed Cal at No. 2 with a pair of first votes.
Colorado, winner of 10 straight, sits in third while Georgia Tech, the former No. 1, drops to the fourth chair. Brigham Young rounds out the Top 5.
UNLV drops out of this week’s poll making way for re-entrance of Sonoma State at No. 24.
