Beavers Voted Tops in PNCLL
SEATTLE -- Oregon State is the two-time defending champion in Division I of the Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League (PNCLL) and they are favorites to snag a third straight, according to the recent conference coaches preseason poll.
The Beavers (11-5) took home four first place votes, leaving them three points clear of Oregon (12-4) for top spot in the poll. Oregon State knocked off the Ducks in the '16 PNCLL title game, 10-8, for the automatic bid to the MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour.
Simon Fraser (7-5) and Boise State (7-8) tied for third in the poll with 31 points apiece while the Clansmen also picked up a first place vote. Washington, which qualified for the four-team PNCLL playoffs last spring, was slotted fifth.
