PNCLL D-II Awards Announced
BOISE – Southern Oregon won its first-ever Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League (PNCLL) Division II championship and the Raiders picked up some recognition when the conference awards were handed out recently.
Southern Oregon had three players on the first team All-PNCLL squad, including senior goalie Connor Kelley, was named the Defensive Player of the Year. Mark Brown was also tabbed Coach of the Year for guiding the Raiders to their first-ever bid to the MCLA National Championships powered by Under Armour.
Western Oregon placed a pair of players on the first team. In addition, senior midfielder Dange Wolf was named the PNCLL’s Most Valuable Player while freshman middie Logan Comer took home Rookie of the Year accolades.
Sophomore attackman Nicholas Guzzetti was the only first team selection for the College of Idaho, but he also earned Offensive Player of the Year status. Western Washington led the way with four first team selections while Gonzaga, Portland State, Portland and Central Washington had one representative.
