WWU’s Rabin Snags D-II Weekly Honor
ATLANTA – On the strength of an eight-point effort against a conference archrival, Western Washington senior midfielder Alexander Rabin has been named the winner of the MCLA Division II Commanding Performance of the Week powered by Under Armour for the period ending Feb. 7.
With the Vikings hosting No. 19 Western Oregon – traditionally the team standing between WWU and a PNCLL championship – and falling into an early hole, Rabin rallied his team with five goals and two assists to seal the 13-12 victory.
“Alexander stepped up and played as a huge offensive threat against the Wolves," said Western Washington coach Adam Lent. "In addition to a few outside rips, Alexander did a great job separating from his defender and getting his hands free, leading to the quick inside look and finish.”
For his efforts in earning the Commanding Performance of the Week powered by Under Armour, Rowley will receive a new Under Armour Command Head. Under Armour is the proud sponsor of the MCLA.
