Concordia the Consensus Pick in SLC
SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- After coming up a goal short in the 2015 MCLA Division II national championship game, Concordia (Calif.) has been voted the overwhelming pick to repeat as the champions of the Southwestern Lacrosse Conference according to the league's preseason coaches poll.
The Eagles, who finished 20-1 last spring, took all of the first place votes in the poll.
Cal State Fullerton, which was selected for the national tournament as an at-large, was slotted in the second chair. Two of the three losses for the Titans came against Concordia in '15. Cal State San Marcos and the University of San Diego, which dropped down from SLC Division I, round out the top four.
