PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- Fresh off its first-ever MCLA national championship, Dayton was the unanimous pick to finish astride the Central Collegiate Lacrosse Association's Division II, according to its coaches poll. The Flyers finished last season with a 20-3 record and defeated Concordia (Calif.) in the 2015 national championship game in Orange County.
Grand Valley State, which won the CCLA championship last year with a 12-11 win over Dayton in the finals, was slotted second, amassing all but one of the second-place votes. The Lakers were followed by Siena Heights and Grove City to round out the top four of the 10-team league.
